Your organization
Everything you do in edonto belongs to an organization: a dental practice / clinic or a dental laboratory. Cases, customers, patients and invoices are always stored for the organization, not for a single person.
Organization settings
Open Settings in the Organization section of the menu (or Organization settings in the organization menu at the top left). Owners and administrators can change the settings; all other members see them read-only.
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name, legal name (if it differs, used on invoices), tax ID (e.g. CNPJ/CPF, EIN or VAT number), email, phone and website |
| Address | Street and number, address line 2, district / neighborhood, postal code, city, state / region |
| Regional settings | Country, time zone, currency, language and tooth notation |
Select Save to apply the changes.
Regional settings
- Time zone – only the time zones of the selected country are offered. Dates and delivery times are shown in this time zone.
- Currency – the default currency for price lists and invoices (BRL, USD, EUR, CNY or HKD).
- Language – the language of emails and documents sent by your organization, for example invitations. Each person still chooses their own interface language under Settings → Appearance.
- Tooth notation – FDI (two digits, e.g. 11, 36; common in Brazil and Europe) or Universal (1–32; common in the US). It only changes how tooth numbers are displayed.
Complete your profile
Address and tax ID are needed for orders and invoices. The dashboard reminds you until they are filled in.
Several organizations
You can belong to several organizations, for example if you work in two practices or run a laboratory and a practice. The organization menu at the top left shows the organization you are working in:
- Select another organization to switch to it.
- New organization creates another practice or laboratory, of which you become the owner.
- Organization settings and Team open the settings of the current organization.
