Account & security
Open the menu with your name and choose Settings to manage your account.
Profile
Under Settings → Profile you can change your name and email address. Select Save to apply the changes. If you change your email address, you have to verify the new address again.
Terms of use and privacy
When you create your account you agree to the terms of use and the privacy policy. You find both in the menu with your name and below the login page. If the terms change, edonto asks you to accept the new version on your next visit.
Password
Under Settings → Security enter your current password and the new password twice, then select Save. Use a long, random password – ideally from a password manager.
Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your account with a second step at login: a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Security and select Enable 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or enter the setup key manually).
- Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app to confirm.
- Store your recovery codes in a safe place, for example your password manager. Each code can be used once if you lose access to your phone.
You can view or regenerate the recovery codes and disable 2FA on the same page.
Recommended
Because edonto contains patient-related information, we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication or using passkeys.
Passkeys
Passkeys let you sign in without a password, using your device's fingerprint, face recognition or PIN. Add a passkey under Settings → Security → Passkeys; you can remove it there again at any time.
Delete your account
Under Settings → Profile select Delete account and confirm with your password. All data of your account is deleted permanently.
